/achromatic-art introduces black and white color palettes and explores the use of contrast and line work in design. With the latest site additions, there are even more online gallery experiences and stories to explore.

I've always felt like my work was emotionally sensitive and hard to describe. For a long time it was difficult to share it at all, which I imagine is a trend among budding artists. Only after growing my skills, slowly sharing more work, and getting positive responses my confidence grew. Sure maybe the work felt vulnerable to me, but others could still appreciate it. What's the point in hiding something that another may find beautiful?

Visibility was one thing, but description was another. I wanted the work to tell the story, but also didn't want to have to speak on it. That risks others never understanding the depth through which it was created.

The work found what it was going to find, and I usually didn't attempt to describe it. But when I started to animate my drawings and curate unique digital experiences, I knew I had to start somewhere.

The animation style and story

The animations themselves were intense and strange, only to be emphasized by each description. But this itself was a breakthrough.

Flowing upward, the achromatic galley begins with the newest piece, He's Feeding.

It's almost intrusive, but that's the story. It prompts the viewer to immediately reflect and imagine beyond the minimalist design. And if they dare to continue:

Fail to Climb prevents the journey from being linear. Below the top of the page, there will forever be those that hang below it. As the screen shifts from expansion to rocking, animations created years apart nest together in the same achromatic style.

Lines become narrow and pull from each other in One For Another. Like its gallery acquaintances, the ailments of the figure are built to be beautiful.

Animation shifts to lighting from lines in The Dwelling. It invites the viewer to again look inward and define their own story.

Finding momentum to fully turn, the Mask Map dominates the page. Abstraction reveals a path to repetition, and you're given an invitation into a deeper experience.

Colorless abstract animations to inspire

The reveal of the page title itself is an invitation inward. While simple, each design contains an unexpected experience. This selection of abstract animations exist to tell stories that inspire your own creative journey. Regardless of if you seek simplicity or want to color an entire abstract world, there is something here waiting for you.
